Pipeline Stress Analysis Services Agreement

Flash Point Engineering is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Khartoum Refinery Company to deliver Pipeline Stress Analysis Services.

As part of this engagement, Flash Point Engineering will carry out comprehensive stress analysis studies for selected pipelines, aimed at verifying their structural integrity and operational performance under various loading conditions. The analysis will assess pipeline behavior under sustained, thermal, and operating load cases to ensure compliance with applicable international codes and industry best practices.

Flash Point Engineering has been contracted by Khartoum Refinery Company to provide pipeline stress analysis services for selected refinery pipelines. The project aims to verify the structural integrity and operational performance of critical piping systems under various operating and environmental conditions, in full compliance with international standards and industry best practices.

The scope of work includes reviewing pipeline design data and operating conditions, developing detailed stress analysis models using advanced engineering software, and evaluating sustained, thermal, and operational loads. The study also covers code compliance checks, assessment of support and equipment loads, and identification of critical stress locations. Engineering recommendations will be provided where necessary to improve pipeline flexibility, ensure safety, and enhance long-term reliability.

The pipeline stress analysis ensures full compliance with international codes and standards while enhancing safety by identifying critical stress points and potential risks. It optimizes pipeline routing, supports, and flexibility, reducing the likelihood of failures, leaks, or unplanned shutdowns, and enabling informed, data-driven engineering decisions. The project strengthens operational reliability, minimizes maintenance costs, and extends the service life of pipelines. It also enhances safety for personnel, assets, and the environment, reinforces the integrity of essential refinery infrastructure, and contributes to the long-term sustainability and resilience of Sudan’s energy sector.
